The Z-Axis pin is the most critical part of the Nomi Grip set-up. By introducing a secondary axis to the traditional standard motion of the needle bar, its interaction is the key factor in the replication of the Hanebori technique. Without this pin, the Nomi Grip and Nomi Needle function no differently than your standard tattoo grip and needle set-up. This is a single use piece of equipment and must be discarded after use. These Pins are sold by the dozen, or by bags of 25 and 50. -
All Yokes are Machined from low carbon steel, drilled for #8 screws, and come in either a raw steel or black oxide finish. Yoke tolerance's vary from a 1/4" to 3/16" and a 1/8" in thickness. -
All springs are punched from tempered steel spring stock. They come in 18 AWG thickness, and a 0.5" in width, front springs come in two different lengths, one for a liner, and one for a shader.PLEASE NOTE!!! that all rear springs do not come with a main spring hole pre-punched in it. This is to allow the builder optional placement of the armature bar depending on the build, ie. a liner or a shader. -
All Armature bars are machined from either low carbon steel, or pure iron. And are available in multiple styles and lengths. -

Kit comes with all of the parts needed to build your own machine from the ground up. This kit is limited to a brazed, and blackened low carbon steel frame only. Though we do offer a choice of frame style and geometry, this in turn determines the appropriate coil size, capacitor, and armature bar. All coils come covered with black Gaff tape. The shader comes with eight wrap 24 AWG coils a 47 μF capacitor, and a 1 7/8” armature bar. The outliner includes six wrap 22 AWG coils a 22 μF capacitor and an extended nipple 1 5/8” speed bar. All other parts consist of a pair of steel front and rear binding posts, a copper contact screw, all 8/32” socket cap, and flat head screws needed, steel and fiber insulating washers, steel shims, one tube vice screw, two 18 gauge springs front and back, and 4” of black wire insulation. Coil, Capacitor, and armature bar sizes can be changed, only if specified in the additional notes section bellow. PLEASE NOTE THE COILS AND CAPACITOR DO NOT COME PREWIRED TOGETHER, AND THE REAR SPRING IS NOT PREPUNCHED FOR THE A-BAR, THESE STEPS YOU MUST DO YOURSELF. -
